And the 18th annual MyrtleBeach.com Myrtle Beach Marathon is falling on Valentine's Day 2015, racers will enjoy spending time with the sport they truly love - running! Marathon organizers also love supporting area charities, such as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of South Carolina, the Coastal South Carolina Chapter of the American Red Cross and Horry County Schools. Another thing competitors will love is the fast, flat course that is perfect for setting personal records on and qualifying times for races such as the Boston Marathon. The event hosts both a full- and half-marathon that takes runners through downtown Myrtle Beach, into The Market Common and down along Ocean Boulevard before ending at TicketReturn.com Field, home of the Myrtle Beach Pelicans. 12-13 Fifth Annual Women's Leadership Conference and Celebration of Inspiring Women -The fifth Women's Leadership Conference and Celebration of Inspiring Women has been set for February 12-13, 2015, at the Sheraton Myrtle Beach Convention Center Hotel. The Women's Leadership Conference seeks to educate, motivate and challenge women to lead change in their lives, their communities and the world. The 2015 program builds upon four highly successful events and will feature the notable speakers below, among others. Claire Shipman, a regular contributor to Good Morning America and other national broadcasts for ABC News, and co-author (with Katty Kay) of the New York Times best-selling book The Confidence Code: The Art and Science of Self-Assurance---and What Women Need to Know; renowned singer Gloria Gaynor, whose disco-era hit "I Will Survive" became an anthem for social survival and the inspiration for her books; Leeza Gibbons, television host of Entertainment Tonight, businesswoman and author of the book Take 2; and Laura Schroff, a former media executive and author of the book, 11-year-old Panhandler, a Busy Sales Executive, and an Unlikely Meeting with Destiny. Pre-conference sessions centered on women's entrepreneurship will be held Thursday, February 12.
25-28 12th Annual Palmetto Regional First Robotics Competition -The 12th annual Palmetto Regional FIRST Robotics Competition will be held at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center in beautiful Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, Wednesday through Saturday, Feb. 25 through Feb. 28, 2015 (Doors open at 8:00 AM). The competition is an intense, competitive event showcasing robots developed and operated by dozens of high school teams from all over the world.

7-7 15th Annual Spring Tour of Homes -Eagerly anticipated each year in Myrtle Beach, the Art Museum's Annual Tour of Homes features an array of spectacular houses and the opportunity to enjoy a buffet luncheon with an ocean view at The Dunes Club.
12-14 32nd Annual National Shag Dance Championship Finals -The NSDC started in Myrtle Beach in 1984 and is the longest continuously running shag dance contest in the United States.
14-14 27th Annual St. Patrick's Day Parade and Festival -The 27th Annual St. Patrick's Day Festival and Parade will be held on Main Street, Saturday, March 14, 2015. This one-day, rain or shine event brings approximately 30,000 to celebrate being Irish and welcome the coming of spring. A parade begins the day at 9:00 a.m., followed by two stages of live music and a children's area with rides and amusements from 11:00 am until 4:00 pm. Along Main Street approximately 150 vendors will display their crafts, services, information, products, or serve a variety of treats.
14-22 54th Annual Canadian-American Days Festival -The Myrtle Beach Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to celebrate 54 years of welcoming our Canadian and snowbird visitors to our 60 miles of pristine, sandy beaches! Once again, the red carpet will be rolled out and our neighbors from the north will feel at home with a lineup of fun events and concerts taking place along the Grand Strand. From March 14 through March 22, 2015, Can-Am Days attendees can choose from a variety of free events and activities including band concerts, a St. Patrick's Day parade and dance, golf tournaments and dining, all complemented by discounts on attractions and golf. The Can-Am Days truly showcases Southern hospitality at its finest!
APRIL 2015
2-4 18th Annual Palmetto Golf Championship -The tournament will be conducted as a 54-hole team stroke play championship. Teams will consist of five (5) players, using the low four (4) scores to determine the team total. The Round one qualifier will flight teams into groups of 16 - 20 teams, using a differential equation that allows the entire field to be ranked against one another, regardless of their qualifying course. They will then compete for awards within their flight using their total 36-hole gross team score during rounds two and three. Once all starting five (5) players begin tournament play, no substitutions will be allowed.
3-5 Myrtle Beach Shopping Days -During this 72-hour period, retailers city-wide will entice shoppers to check out their merchandise via outdoor displays and sidewalk sales. Local residents and out-of-town visitors are encouraged to visit Myrtle Beach merchants, big and small, during these special shopping days.
4-4 10th Annual Race for the Inlet -Lace up those sneakers for some early Saturday morning exercise as you run or walk through the marshfront, oak-shaded streets of Murrells Inlet in the 2015 Race for the Inlet. This event features the 5K Walk and Run, with optional chip timing, an 8K chip-timed Run and an 8K chip-timed walk. Participants can run or walk through Murrells Inlet on the USATF certified courses. Race timing provided by Race Management Systems. It is a fun event suitable for all ages and skill levels. All events start and end at Morse Park Landing on U.S. 17 Business (next to the Hot Fish Club) in Murrells Inlet. All events begin at 8 a.m. Prizes will be awarded based on chip timings to the overall top male and female 5K and 8K winners and the top male and female 5K and 8K winners in each of the age groups. You must register for a chip to qualify for prizes. Registration opens Jan. 6, 2014.
4-4 33rd Annual Easter Egg Hunt -The Easter Bunny will make a special visit to McLean Park in North Myrtle Beach on Saturday, April 4, 2015 to hand out candy to all the children that attend. The egg hunt begins at 10:00 am sharp, and other activities between 10 a.m. and noon. Wear your Easter best to have your picture made with Ms. Blossom. Egg hunt areas are divided by age groups (infant and above) and there are many other activities for all ages. The North Strand Optimist Club will provide refreshments.

16-16 34th annual Blue Crab Festival -The 34th annual Blue Crab Festival will host lots of food, fun, arts, crafts and more! The event takes place along the Little River waterfront and hosts a kids' area with tons of games and things to do. Stay tuned for more details. Admission is $3 in advance or $5 in advance for a 2-day pass. Tickets at the door are $5/person. This event is family and biker-friendly.
22-22 Atlantic Bike Week -Hit the road and drive up to North Myrtle Beach for Atlantic Beach Bike Week, also known as Black Bike Week. This motorcycle rally is held every year during Memorial Day weekend. Meet and greets, parties, live music and entertainment will be held throughout the weekend.

1-7 Coastal Uncorked -June 1 through June 7, 2015 will mark the fifth annual Coastal Uncorked festival.
14-14 Italian Festival @ Market Common -Italian Festival @ Market Common. Thousands come each year to enjoy our authentic Italian food such as sausage with pepper and onions, and meatball sandwiches, ravioli, pizza, with desserts like cannolis, zeppolis, frappe (fritters), biscotti and italian ice. Soft drinks, beer, and italian wines are also available. There will be a an Italian themed souvenir tent, along with many Arts and Crafts Vendors and free face painting for the kids. Our live and continuous entertainment will keep you dancing, singing and eating for all to enjoy. This year a portion of our Raffle Sale proceeds will benefit our Wounded Warrior and Scent for soldiers as our way of saying “thank you” for your service to our country.
