26-26 - The Ricky Mokel Comedy Show -Ready for a laugh? Ricky Mokel, the comedian featured in Alabama Theatre’s famed ONE The Show, brings his hilarious act from ONE to an award-winning solo performance for all ages. Mokel, portrayed by Grant Turner, is known as the “lovable, gifted idiot” by fans alike and creates a performance that’s never the same as his last. Be sure to grab your tickets for comedy gold! 1-2 - Beach Boogie & BBQ Festival -The Beach, Boogie and BBQ Festival is an Official BBQ Championship of South Carolina sanctioned by the Kansas City Barbecue Society (KCBS) with over $8,600 in cash and prizes up for grabs by 25+ BBQ teams competing for points and lots of bragging rights! The festival will once again be a host event for the '250KCBS' Meals Mission, where we will be donating around 30 cooked pork butts to a local food kitchen.

1-3 - Coastal Uncorked food and wine festival -The Seventh Annual Coastal Uncorked Food, Wine and Spirits Festival returns for a delightful culinary adventure over Labor Day Weekend, Friday, September 1 through Sunday, September 3, 2017. The festival events will be in the parking lot behind Pavilion Park Central, near the Welcome Center on the 21st Avenue side of Broadway at the Beach.

4-8 - Myrtle Beach Mustang Week -Mustang Week, a celebration of Ford’s most famous sports car, has grown into a gathering of hundreds of owners and enthusiasts who visit the area each year for one of the biggest car show events in Myrtle Beach. The 2017 Mustang Week event will take place September 4-10, with a variety of events taking place all over the area including at the Myrtle Beach Convention Center, Myrtle Beach Speedway, the Myrtle Beach Mall, Ocean Boulevard and more. The lineup of activities for each annual gathering includes meet and greets, cruise-ins, car shows, awards ceremonies, drag nights and more.

17-17 - Travis Tritt -For one night only, country music star and Grammy Award winner Travis Tritt will perform at The Carolina Opry in Myrtle Beach on Sept. 17. The two-time Grammy Award winner has been dubbed one of “The Class of ’89,” along with Garth Brooks, Clint Black and Alan Jackson; all of whom dominated the charts in the early ’90s. 22-24 - The 42nd Annual Atalaya Arts & Crafts Festival -The 42nd Annual Atalaya Arts and Crafts Festival will be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 22-24, 2017 at Huntington Beach State Park near Murrells Inlet. Featuring more than 100 of the finest artisans, the Atalaya Arts & Crafts Festival provides aesthetic beauty against a background of natural beauty. Enjoy fine art, quality crafts and food, along with the musical offerings of several of the area’s finest musicians.

23-23 - Temptations & Four Tops -Take a trip back to the hey-day of Motown music for an amazing evening with The Temptations and Four Tops at the Alabama Theatre. The Temptations–including original member Otis Williams–and Four Tops–including original member Duke Fakir–take concert-goers on a musical experience through over 40 years of Motown classics. 28-28 - 2017 St. John’s Greek Festival -The annual St. John’s Greek Festival, a celebration of Greek culture, cuisine and family fun, is one of the most beloved Myrtle Beach events of the fall. This year’s 25th annual event will take place Thursday, Sept. 28 through Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017. Get your fill of spanikopita, gyros, baklava, cookies, salads, pastries, breads and more as St. John the Baptist Greek Orthodox Church hosts this tasty annual event. The event is fun for the whole family and offers inflatables, live performances and music, craft and vendor tables and tours of the beautiful church.

30-30 - Irish Italian Festival -Join North Myrtle Beach for the 13th annual Irish Italian Festival. The fun kicks off with a family-friendly festival brings in live music on two different stages along Main Street plus dozens of food vendors, arts and crafts tents and a spaghetti eating competition. They’ll also offer a children’s area with inflatables, magicians and balloon art. Stop by Flynn’s Paddy Wagon for an Irish pint before exploring the vendors’ tents.

OCTOBER 2017

1-7 - Myrtle Beach Bike Week Fall Rally -The Myrtle Beach Bike Week Fall Rally will return this September for the 2017 event. Popular hangouts include The Beaver Bar, Myrtle Beach Harley-Davidson, The Harley Shop at the Beach, Jamin' Leather, Plantation Pancake House and other bars and restaurants in Murrells Inlet and along the Grand Strand. Popular cruising daycations involve rides from Murrells Inlet to Charleston and up to Wilmington, N.C.

6-7 - Myrtle Beach Seafood Festival -The Myrtle Beach Seafood Festival will be held October 6 and 7, 2017 on Ocean Boulevard! This is only the second year for the event which will feature great seafood vendors serving up unique dishes. Kid-friendly activities, a beer and wine garden and a corn hole tournament are also planned along with live music. Stay tuned for more details on this great new festival in Myrtle Beach!

7-7 - The World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra -Considered by many as one of the greatest bands of all time, the Glenn Miller Orchestra is headed to the Alabama Theatre. You won’t want to miss this classic big band and jazz performance by one of the most revered big bands to ever play. 14-14 - Clint Black -Heralded country music star Clint Black will make a stop at the Alabama Theatre to give a musical performance you won’t want to miss! 21-21 - The Oak Ridge Boys -Country band The Oak Ridge Boys bring their unique sound to the Alabama Theatre for an evening of genre-bending music.
