The team has entered in a new four-year contract with the Texas Rangers. The Pelicans will serve as the Rangers’ Class A-Advanced Carolina League affiliate. An exhibition game will be played against the Coastal Carolina University Chanticleers in March where some of the top stars from the 2010 season will make an appearance.
